New Moons represent the start of a new lunar cycle and the start of a new cycle in our own lives. Mercury has stationed direct, 28 August 2024, so all systems are moving forward, slowly but surely. Mercury is the planet that rules Virgo, the ‘lovely virgin’dedicated to serving humanity. May we use this New Moon in Virgo to clean the slate and begin anew.
This Virgo season is also the beginning of eclipses, with the eclipse in the Pisces full moon, thus culminating in an end to old ways of Being. Since Mercury is the ‘planet of the Gods’, may we listen and hear the messages as we create new intention(s) this Virgo New Moon.
Saturn, the Lord of Karma, is in Pisces opposite the New Moon in Virgo, so our intentions may feel heavy or filled with responsibilities. If we have the courage to listen to Saturn and be accountable for whatever ‘karma’ may have contributed to the situation. Can we be kind to ourselves, because Saturn and the Virgo Moon may create feelings of not being good enough, we may be harsh to ourselves and others. too harsh towards ourselves or others. Let’s be careful not to be judgmental, to practice being the ‘conscious witness’’.
Thus a theme for this New Moon in Virgo may be one of self-nurturing. How much can I love and honor myself this new moon cycle? Can we trust in the ‘divine timing’ of it all and have the patience as the seed sprouts into a tree?
This self nurturing is second nature to the Goddess Virgin. The Virgin Goddess has learned to access the Goddess within, for she confidently handles whatever situation the Universe sends her.
She is whole and reats her body as a temple. She knows exactly what she needs and she lives in service to herself and her higher power. She loves herself and knows how to look after herself. She is the authority on her body, mind, and soul. She is the authority on how she wishes to lead her life.
May we embrace the Virgin Goddess that lives within us all. May we listen to our-selves and be in service to our highest needs. May we trust this goddess that lives within.
